The Talisker Distillery was built by the Mac Askill brothers in 1830 and is the only distillery on the Isle of Skye. The Talisker distillery has been reconstructed several times, but to this day follows its traditions, the distillery has original U-shaped stills, and coils are used for cooling, which is a rarity in Scotland.

For the production of whiskey, local malt and water from the springs of the Cnoc-nan-Speireag hill are used, due to which the drink acquires unique characteristics, it is distinguished by a high content of phenols and a salty-peaty aroma.

Talisker is one of the great whiskeys with an island character. It is also used to create famous blends.
