Description
Torsid – diuretic medicament for treatment of essential hypertensia. Treatment and prevention of a recurrence of the hypostases and/or exudates caused by heart failure.
Structure
- active ingredient: torasemide;
- 1 tablet contains anhydrous torasemid in terms of 100% substance of 5 mg or 10 mg;
- other components: lactoses monohydrate, starch prezhelatinizirovanny, silicon dioxide colloidal anhydrous, magnesium stearate.

Hypopotassemia. Considerable disturbance of urination, for example owing to a prostatauxe. Feeding period breast.
Side reactions
Metabolisms/electrolytes. Strengthening of a metabolic alkalosis is frequent. Spasms of muscles (especially in an initiation of treatment), not digestibility of food, a meteorism, desires to urination, rash on skin. Increase in concentration of uric acid and glucose in blood, cholesterol and triglycerides. From a cardiovascular system. Very seldom: because of a possible pachemia tromboembolic episodes, confusion of consciousness, arterial hypotension and also circulatory disturbances and warm activity, including ischemia of heart and brain can be observed that can lead, for example, to arrhythmia, stenocardia, an acute heart attack.
from digestive system. Often: disorders of digestive system (especially in an initiation of treatment), including lack of appetite, a stomach ache, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, a constipation. Very seldom: pancreatitis.
from a liver. Often: increase in concentration of some liver enzymes (gamma glutamil - transpeptidases) in blood.
from the immune system. Very seldom: allergic reactions, for example itching, dieback, photosensitization, heavy skin reactions.
from blood and the haematogenic system. Very seldom: decrease in quantity of thrombocytes, erythrocytes and/or leukocytes as a result of haemo concentration.
Route of administrationto Accept
inside once a day in the morning after a meal, not to chew, wash down with a small amount of liquid. To establish a dose and duration of a course of treatment individually taking into account indications, efficiency and shipping of therapy.
In essential hypertensia. Usually the dose makes 2.5 mg of Torsid. If after 12 weeks therapy by medicament in a dose of 2.5 mg/days the normalization of arterial blood pressure is not reached, it is possible to increase a dose to 5 mg. Further increase in a dose is inexpedient as it will not lead to further decrease in the ABP.
In hypostases or exudates: the initial dose makes 5 mg of Torsid a day. Usually this dose is considered supporting. If the daily dose of 5 mg is insufficient, then to apply 10 mg of a torasemid a day. The dose can be raised depending on disease severity to 20 mg of medicament a day.
Feature of use
Use during pregnancy or feeding by a breast
Torasemid can be applied during pregnancy only according to vital indications and in minimum possible effective dose.
Use of a torasemid during feeding by a breast contraindicated. If it is necessary to apply torasemid during this period, feeding by a breast it is necessary to stop.
Children
should not be Applied torasemid to children due to the lack of sufficient clinical experience.
Ability to influence speed of response at control of motor transport or other mechanisms
should beAt use of a torasemid very careful at control of motor transport or other mechanisms.
Overdose toTypical symptomatology is unknown to
. The overdose can cause a severe diuresis, including risk of excessive loss of water and electrolytes, drowsiness, an amental syndrome (one of consciousness disturbance forms), symptomatic arterial hypotension, cardiovascular insufficiency and disorders from digestive system. Interaction with other medicines and other types of interactions
Torasemid strengthens effect of other antihypertensive drugs, in particular, of inhibitors of angiotensin-converting enzyme that can cause excessive decrease in the ABP at their simultaneous use. At simultaneous use of a torasemid with digitalis medicaments the deficiency of potassium caused by diuretic can lead to increase or strengthening of side effect of both drugs. Torasemid can reduce efficiency of anti-diabetic means.
