Powder for oral AstraTse solution is shown for treatment of the sharp and chronic diseases of a bronchopulmonary system demanding reduction of viscosity of a phlegm, improvement of its otkhozhdeniye and expectoration.

Structure

Active ingredient: acetylcysteine;

1 sachet Acetylcysteinum in terms of 100%;

Excipients: ascorbic acid, saccharin, sucrose, Orange fragrance.

Contraindication

Hypersensitivity to Acetylcysteinum or to other components of medicine. A peptic ulcer of a stomach and duodenum in an aggravation stage, a pneumorrhagia, pulmonary bleeding, heavy exacerbation of bronchial asthma.

Is not present sufficient data on overdose cases at oral administration of Acetylcysteinum.

Volunteers accepted 11.6 g of Acetylcysteinum a day for 3 months without emergence of any serious side effects. Oral doses up to 500 mg of Acetylcysteinum a day were transferred to 1 kg of body weight without uniform symptoms of intoxication.

Symptoms: nausea, vomiting, diarrhea. Children have a risk of hypersecretion.

Treatment: symptomatic therapy.

Side effects

from a cardiovascular system: infrequently – tachycardia, arterial hypotension.

from nervous system: infrequently – a headache.

from skin: infrequently – allergic reactions (itch, urticaria, a dieback, eczema, rash, a Quincke's disease).

from organs of hearing: infrequently – a ring in ears.

from a respiratory system: seldom – dispny, a bronchospasm (mainly at patients with hyperreactivity of the bronchial system which is associated with bronchial asthma), a rhinorrhea.

from a digestive tract: infrequently – heartburn, dyspepsia, stomatitis, abdominal pain, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, an unpleasant smell from a mouth.

General frustration: infrequently – fever.

Interaction

Research of interaction was conducted only with participation of adults.

Use together with Acetylcysteinum of antibechics can increase stagnation of a phlegm because of reduction of a tussive reflex.
