Leslie West has gained fame the world over during his 50-plus year career as one of the most innovative and influential musicians in the history of rock music. He is most noted for his role as leader of the explosive hard rock trio, Mountain, which was named by VH-1 as one of the Top 100 Hard Rock Groups of all time.
A great collaboration with Jack Bruce and Joe Franco, Leslie just keeps churning out the classic riffs. My two favorites are "Theme for an Imaginary Western" and "Love Me Tender" an instrumental cover of the Elvis hit. Jack Bruce is in fine voice here and Joe Franco formerly in Twisted Sister pounds the skins hard. If you want some really good eighties blues rock look no further.
