Pharmaksikam solution for infection. 10mg/ml fl. 1.5 ml No. 5

Pharmaksikam is a nonsteroid anti-inflammatory and antirheumatic drug. Indications - short symptomatic treatment of a bad attack of a pseudorheumatism and ankilozivny spondylitis when other ways of introduction of a meloksikam cannot be applied.

Structure

• 1 ml of solution supports a meloksikam of 10 mg;
• 1 bottle (1.5 ml) supports a meloksikam of 15 mg;
• other components: Megluminum, glikofurol, half-oxameasures, sodium chloride, glycine, sodium hydroxide, water for injections.

Contraindication

• ІІІ pregnancy trimester;
• children's age up to 18 years;
• hypersensitivity to a meloksikam or to other components of medicine, or to active agents with similar action, such as NPVP, acetylsalicylic acid (meloksika should not appoint to patients who had asthma symptoms, nasal polyps, a Quincke's disease or a small tortoiseshell after intake of acid or other NPVP);
• gastrointestinal bleeding or the perforation connected with preliminary therapy of NPVP in the anamnesis;
• an active or recurrent round ulcer / bleeding in the anamnesis (two or more separate confirmed case of an ulcer or bleeding).

Route of administration

One injection of 15 mg once a day.

by a deep intramuscular injection into an upper external quadrant of a buttock, with observance of the severe aseptic equipment. In case of repeated introduction it is recommended to alternate the place of an injection (left and right buttock). Before an injection it is important to check that the edge of a needle did not get to a vessel.

Feature of use

Recommended maximum daily dose cannot be exceeded at insufficient therapeutic effect, it is also not necessary to apply in addition NPVP as it can increase toxicity whereas therapeutic advantages are not proved. It is necessary to avoid simultaneous use of a meloksikam with NPVP, including selection inhibitors of cyclooxygenase-2.

Pregnant

during I and II trimester of pregnancy to meloksika should not be applied, except for need.

in ІІІ a pregnancy trimester.

Children

Medicine is contraindicated to children up to 18 years.

Drivers

to Patients at whom dysfunctions of sight were observed including illegibility of sight, dizziness, drowsiness, vertigo or other disturbances of the central nervous system, it is recommended to refrain from driving or work with other mechanisms.

Overdose

Symptoms of acute overdose of NPVP are usually limited to a lethargy, drowsiness, nausea, vomiting and epigastric pain which in general are reversible at maintenance therapy. There can be gastrointestinal bleeding. The serious poisoning can lead to arterial hypertension, OPN, liver dysfunction, depression of respiratory, a coma, spasms, cardiovascular insufficiency and cardiac arrest. It was reported about anaphylactoid reactions at therapeutic use of NPVP that it can also be observed at overdose.

Side effects

from blood and lymphatic system: anemia, a deviation of indicators of blood test from norm (including change of quantity of leukocytes), a leukopenia, thrombocytopenia.

from the immune system: allergic reactions, except anaphylactic or anaphylactoid, an acute anaphylaxis, anaphylactic reaction, anaphylactoid reaction, including shock.

Mental disorders: change of mood, nightmares, confusion of consciousness, disorientation, insomnia.

from nervous system: headache, dizziness, drowsiness.

from organs of sight: the dysfunctions of sight including illegibility of sight; conjunctivitis.
