Pharmacological properties

Pharmacodynamics. miramistin — cationic surfactant with antimicrobial (antiseptic) action.

Unlike other antiseptic agents, miramistin has sharp selectivity of action concerning microorganisms as practically does not affect cell membranes of the person. This effect is connected with other structure of cellular membranes of the person (considerable the bigger length of the lipidic radicals which are sharply limiting a possibility of hydrophobic interaction of a miramistin with cells).

Miramistin possesses the expressed antimicrobic action concerning gram-positive and gram-negative, aerobic and anaerobic, spore-forming and asporogenic bacteria in the form of monocultures and microbic associations, including hospital strains with polyresistance to antibiotics.

Indication

In complex treatment of the infectious processes of front department of an eye (blefarita, conjunctivitis, a keratitis, keratouveita) caused by the gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria, chlamydias, mushrooms and viruses sensitive to a miramistin, eye injuries, eye burns (thermal and chemical).

Prevention of an ophthalmia of newborns, including gonococcal and chlamydial.

Prevention and treatment of pyoinflammatory damages of eyes in before - and the postoperative period.

In complex treatment of sharp and chronic external otitis, chronic purulent mesotympanitis, otomycoses.

In complex treatment of sharp rhinitis.

Use
