Description

"Rock and Roll Over" (Russian. "Still a rocknroll") — the fifth studio album of the American rock group Kiss which left on November 11, 1976 at the American recording studio of Casablanca Records. An album was recorded at the American recording studio of "Star Theatreg", Nanuet, New York, the USA, during the period September – October, 1976. A producer of an album is the legendary sound engineer and the producer Eddie Kramer cooperating with such performers as The Jimi Hendrix Experience, The Beatles, AC/DC, The Rolling Stones, Led Zeppelin and many others. Eddie Kramer was a producer of the first concert, and the fourth in an official discography, an album Kiss, in 1975.
Album received positive reviews from the leading musical editions. Greg Prato from AllMusic substantially praised "Rock and Roll Over", proclaiming it "one of the most consecutive albums Kiss".
Hit "Hard Luck Woman" was published by a single and reached the 15th place in charts of Billboard Hot 100 and 19 – in Cash box top 100 charts of the USA. In charts of RPM100 Singles of Canada reached the 15th place; took the 34th place in charts of Germany and 67 – in The Kent Music Report of Australia.
On the Hard Luck Woman song was removed musical videos which had high television rotation. Referring to Hard Luck Woman style, Stephen Bailey called this song a sample of "the gentle folk-rock". The second single "Calling Dr. Love" reached the 16th place in charts of Billboard Hot 100 and 10 – in Cash box top 100 charts of the USA. In charts of RPM100 Singles of Canada reached 2 places and it is considered the Canadian hit of 1977.
Rocker fighter of "Baby Driver" is rewriting of a demo of the Lips group in which Peter Chris consisted earlier. These songs had high rotation and are often broadcast on television music channels and on radio stations of classical fate.
Album "Rock and Roll Over" took the 11th place in charts of the USA of Billboard 200; The 7th place in charts of RPM100 of Canada; 9 – in charts of Sweden; 16 – in The Kent Music Report of Australia and 39 – in Germany.
