Gemoferon solution oraln. fl. 200 ml

Solution oral Gemoferon is applied at the following indications:

• treatment of iron deficiency and foliyevodefitsitny anemia of various etiology;
• a state, associated with the increased need of an organism for iron and other components of medicine (pregnancy, feeding by a breast, the period of intensive growth and puberty, a hypochlorhydria, sharp and chronic blood loss, a burn disease, a state after stomach surgery, a Gee's disease, sharp decrease in body weight).

Structure

1 ml of solution contains (active ingredients):

• iron of ammonium citrate - 40 mg (8.2 mg of elementary iron are equivalent);
• folic acid - 0.3 mg;
• cyanocobalamine - 0.01 mg.

Excipients: ethanol, methylparahydroxybenzoate (E 218), propilparagidroksibenzoat (E 216), sorbite (E 420), saccharin of sodium, sodium chloride, dinatrium edetat (Trilonum B), fragrance crimson, the water purified.

Contraindication

• hypersensitivity to medicine components;
• excess accumulation of iron in an organism (hemosiderosis, hemochromatosis) or predisposition to it;
• all other types of anemias and also the states which are not caused by deficiency of iron (hypo - aplastic and hemolytic anemias, sideroakhrestichesky anemia, a zalizorefrakterna anemia, anemia at a plumbism, a thalassemia, hemoglobinopathies, pernicious anemia); blood transfusions, an erythremia, a hyperglobulia, sharp a thrombembolia, a new growth, except for the states which are followed by megaloblastny anemia, cirrhosis, an urikoproporfiriya, a stenosis of a gullet and/or other obstructive diseases of a digestive tract, sharp inflammatory bowel diseases, a peptic ulcer of a stomach and duodenum in an aggravation stage, an intestines diverticulum, intestinal impassability, regular hemotransfusions, simultaneous application of parenteral forms of iron;
• abdominal pain, nausea and vomiting of an unknown etiology.

Route of administration

Drug is taken inside, it is desirable in 30-40 minutes prior to meal. A dosage of medicine carry out by means of a measured glass or the dosing syringe which are applied.

For treatment of iron deficiency and foliyevodefitsitny anemia by the adult and to children is more senior than 12 years appoint 15-20 ml of the medicine "Gemoferon" a day.

For treatment of iron deficiency and foliyevodefitsitny anemia at children aged up to 12 years medicine is appointed in the following doses:

• 6-9 months - 5 ml;
• 10-12 months - 7.5 ml;
• 1-3 years - 10 ml;
• 4-6 years - 12.5 ml;
• 7-12 years - 15 ml.

Drug contains alcohol. Admissible concentration of alcohol in medicaments for children makes 0.5%. In this regard the daily dose of medicine for children needs to be divided into two receptions and to mix with a water tablespoon.

Duration of a course of treatment is defined individually, depending on the disease course and severity. The average duration of a course of treatment is 1-3 months.

Children

When exceeding the recommended doses the overdose phenomena are possible

. The dose of elementary iron of 180-300 mg/kg of body weight is considered lethal. However for some patients the dose of elementary iron of 30 mg/kg can be toxic. At children of younger age the risk of developing of sharp intoxication is especially high: life-threatening intoxication is possible at reception of 1 g of ferrous sulfate.

At overdose strengthening of side reactions is possible

. Symptoms of sharp poisoning with iron arise in 10-60 minutes or in several hours after administration of drug.

Side effects

from a digestive tract: pain in a stomach, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea or a lock, coloring a calla in black color, a meteorism, discomfort (feeling of overflow) in a stomach, metal smack in a mouth, darkening of teeth, loss of appetite.

from skin and hypodermic cellulose: erubescence, itch and rash, urticaria, acne, bullous rash.

from the immune system: reactions of hypersensitivity (anaphylaxis, acute anaphylaxis, bronchospasm).

from nervous system: headache, dizziness, nervous excitement.

from heart: pain in heart, tachycardia.
