Description

Saint-Vivant is a brand with centuries-old traditions, born in 1559. Its founder is the French nobleman Vivan de la Salle. They say that it was he who was the first to use black Gascony oak barrels for aging.

Saint-Vivant is produced from grapes from the Bas-Armagnac and Tenareze regions. The many years that the “water of life” spends in the dark, cool cellars of the chateau, built in the 13th century, help develop the exquisite bouquet and unique style of Armagnac. The ancient production technologies of Saint-Vivant have stood the test of time and are still used today. High quality and original bottle design have made the company's drinks one of the most beloved and recognizable in the world. Among more than 1,000 producers of Armagnac in France, Saint-Vivant takes an honorable fourth place. The brand is no less popular on the international market: more than 40% of the company’s products are exported to different countries.

Armagnac “Saint-Vivant” is bottled in a unique tilted bottle, the creation of which has an interesting legend. In ancient times, bottled Armagnac was ordered for a royal reception. There was little time to make bottles and bottling Armagnac, and the glassmakers decided to “speed up” the work by trying a powerful distillate from Gascony. When the work was completed and the bottles were brought to the king's table, the neck of the fragile bottle began to slowly bend. A scandal was brewing, but the young man who carried out the bottles was not taken aback and said: “Even the bottle bows before you, King.” The situation was saved, the king and guests were delighted with both the bottle and the magnificent Armagnac.
